Houston Cowan

Houston Cowan is a Private Equity Associate specializing in software investments at Welsh, Carson, Anderson & Stowe since July 2022. Prior experience includes serving as a Board Observer at Avetta and working as an Investment Banking Analyst at LionTree LLC, where significant transactions involved the acquisition of AT&T Operations in Puerto Rico for $1.95 billion and a SPAC transaction with 23andMe. Cowan led the Yale Student Investment Group as President, managing over $500,000 in assets across various sectors while earning a Bachelor's degree in Economics and Data Analysis from Yale University. Additional internships at firms including Merrill Lynch and Landmark Ventures contributed to a solid foundation in investment banking. Cowan graduated as valedictorian from Burlington High School in 2016.
