Alex Martinez

Alex Martinez, MS, is a Biostatistician I at WCG since May 2023, bringing a strong background in statistical analysis and research. Previously, Alex served as a Graduate Researcher at LSU Health Sciences Center New Orleans from June 2022 to May 2023, where a master's thesis focused on Bayesian variable selection in rare binary events was authored, along with the development of a CRAN-published R package for variable selection methods. Teaching experience as a Teaching Assistant at Texas A&M University involved guiding undergraduate statistics students on advanced topics. Additionally, Alex co-authored a research paper on socio-economic factors affecting COVID-19 vaccine allocation in Texas. Alex holds a Master of Science in Biostatistics from Louisiana State University and a Bachelor of Science in Statistics with a focus on Bio-Statistics from Texas A&M University.
