Jennifer Keeney

Jennifer Keeney has extensive work experience in the media industry. Jennifer started their career as an Associate Producer at WPHL, "Inquirer News Tonight," from 1996 to 1998. Jennifer then worked as a Producer/Assignment Editor at WDRB from 1998 to 2000, where they ran the weekend assignment desk and filled in as a producer on newscasts as needed.

In 2000, they joined KTVU 2 News as a Morning News Producer, where they produced the top-rated morning newscast in San Francisco and determined daily coverage for two local live crews and a satellite crew in Washington, D.C.

From 2001 to 2006, Jennifer worked as a Producer for News @ 4 at WDRB, where they launched the first 4 pm newscast in Louisville, making it one of the highest-rated newscasts in the market. Jennifer developed the master rundown for the newscast, determined coverage, produced daily newscasts, and field produced major news coverage.

In 2006, they were promoted to Assistant News Director at WDRB, a role they held until 2022. In this position, they determined and shaped news coverage, mentored producers and reporters, monitored the station's digital coverage and social media for engagement, and handled staffing, payroll, and scheduling.

Currently, Jennifer Keeney is the News Director at WDRB Media, a position they have held since 2022. Jennifer leads the largest newsroom in the state, overseeing 10.5 hours of daily live newscasts and managing the digital operations of the station.

Jennifer Keeney attended Rowan University from 1993 to 1996, where they earned a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree in Journalism. During their studies, they also pursued a minor in Political Science.
