Katrina Nickell

Katrina Nickell is an experienced reporter currently serving as a Nightside general assignment reporter at WDRB Media since January 2022, with a strong emphasis on education reporting. Prior to this role, Katrina worked at Sinclair Broadcast Group as a general assignment reporter from May 2020 to December 2021. Katrina's background includes reporting, anchoring, and producing for IU Newsnet and holding the position of News Director at Indiana University Student Television, where significant increases in viewership were achieved. Additional experiences include internships at WLUK Fox 11 and WTTW/Chicago PBS, providing foundational skills in journalism and news production. Katrina holds a Bachelor's degree in Journalism from Indiana University Bloomington.
