Sarah Z Salem currently serves as the Director of Community Engagement for the Thriving Communities Technical Assistance Centers Program at WE ACT for Environmental Justice. Prior to this role, Sarah Z Salem held several positions at GRID Alternatives, including Community Engagement & Partnerships Director, Senior Community Engagement Manager, and Community Engagement Manager, where responsibilities included overseeing outreach strategies and managing community education initiatives related to solar energy. Earlier experience includes working as a Designer at The Cearnal Collective LLP, developing strategic communication plans during a fellowship at Bren School of Environmental Science & Management, and various internships centered on environmental management and communication. Sarah Z Salem holds a Master's degree from the Bren School and a Bachelor's degree in Architecture from Temple University.
