Thiemo Cordes

Thiemo Cordes has extensive work experience in various leadership roles in the automotive industry. Thiemo is currently serving as the Chief Executive Officer at WE-EF LIGHTING since June 2022. Prior to this, they were the Head of Customer Business Unit VI at Benecke-Kaliko AG from January 2021 to June 2022. Thiemo'sprevious positions include General Manager at Benecke-Hornschuch Surface Group from April 2018 to July 2020, and various roles at Benecke-Kaliko AG from 2012 to 2018, including Plant Manager, Global Sales Director, and Global Head of Program Management VW Group. Before joining Benecke-Kaliko AG, Thiemo worked as the Leiter Vertrieb Elektronik at Hella from 2009 to 2012 and as the Key Account Manager NAFTA at Hella USA from 2006 to 2008. Thiemo started their career as a Sales Account Manager at HELLA from 2003 to 2005 and as a Qualitaetsingenieur at Valeo Lighting Systems from 2002 to 2003. Thiemo also gained experience as a Business Analyst at Accenture from 2001 to 2002.

Thiemo Cordes attended Leibniz Universität Hannover from 1994 to 2000, where they obtained a degree in Dipl.-Ing. in the field of Maschinenbau. Thiemo then pursued an MBA at Purdue University Daniels School of Business from 2000 to 2001. Prior to their university education, Thiemo completed their Zivildienst at Annastift Hannover from 1993 to 1994, specializing in the individual care of severely disabled individuals. Thiemo completed their secondary education at Gymnasium Isernhagen from 1980 to 1993, earning their Abitur with a focus on subjects such as Math, Physics, French, and History.
