Dr. Hugo Chan has a diverse and extensive work experience. Dr. Hugo is currently working as the Associate Dean (China) at SBS Swiss Business School since September 2020. Prior to this, they served as the Chief Innovation Officer at WE Marketing Group, starting in March 2018. Dr. Hugo also worked as an Adjunct Associate Professor at China Business School, SPACE, The University of Hong Kong starting from March 2014. Before that, they held the position of Managing Partner at both WE Digital Limited (from June 2011 to August 2020) and WE Engauge Limited (from March 2012 to September 2014). Dr. Chan also has experience as a Lecturer at the Institute of China Business, SPACE, University of Hong Kong (from November 2011 to March 2014) and as the Executive Director - WE Digital at WE Marketing Group (from June 2011 to September 2012). Prior to these roles, they served as the Chief Executive Officer at Dada Strategic Limited (from July 2010 to May 2011), the Associate Publisher - Chief Executive China at Global Sources Limited (from August 2006 to June 2010), and as the Owner of SHEG (from June 2004 to April 2010).
Dr. Hugo Chan has a strong education background with multiple degrees and certifications. Dr. Hugo obtained a Doctor of Business Administration from SBS Swiss Business School, focusing on the impact of social media marketing on brand equity creation in China. Dr. Hugo also holds a Master of Applied Research in Marketing Research from the same institution. Dr. Chan received a certificate in Chief Executive China from Stanford University Graduate School of Business in 2009. Dr. Hugo'searlier education includes an MBA in Business Administration from Aberystwyth University in 1991, and a BBA (Hons) in Marketing from The Chinese University of Hong Kong in 1988.
