Andrew Lorenz has been active in the food industry since 1986. Andrew began their career in the US Army, where they served as a Non-Commissioned Officer in the Reserves and on active duty. In 2003, they joined the USDA-FSIS as a Deputy District Manager, Front Line Supervisor, and Enforcement Investigation and Analysis Officer. In 2012, they became a Senior Consultant for D. N. D. and Associates Consulting Group LLC and a Contributing Writer for WeRFoodSafety.com. In 2013, they became the Chief Executive Officer of We R Food Safety! and the Chairman Bishop Search Committee of the Episcopal Diocese of Eau Claire. In 2014, they joined The National Provisioner's Editorial Board and the Board Trustee of the Episcopal Diocese of Eau Claire.
Andrew Lorenz attended Menomonie from 1983 to 1987, where they obtained a Diploma in General Studies. In 1988, they attended the Academy of Health Science Ft Sam Houston Texas, where they earned an MOS91R (68R) in Food Science and Technology. Andrew then attended Excelsior University from 1988 to 1998, studying General Management. In 1993, they attended the US Army NCO Academy, where they studied Basic Leadership. Andrew returned to the U.S. Army NCO Academy in 2002, where they studied Advanced Leadership, and again in 2006, where they studied Human Resources. Finally, they attended Texas A&M University from 2001 to 2003, studying Food Safety and Technology.
