Margarita Thoma is an experienced professional in science communication and customer service, currently serving as the Live Science Team Leader at We The Curious since October 2019. Margarita leads a team of eight in promoting science as a cultural experience while facilitating engaging presentations and activities across diverse audiences. Concurrently, Margarita works as a Visitor Experience Assistant at SS Great Britain Trust, ensuring excellent customer service and promoting museum activities. Previous roles include a Teaching Assistant at Seven Hills School, a Teacher at Sheffield Greek School, a Guest Experience Specialist at Astir Palace, and a Leader Tour Guide for Athens Segway Tours. Margarita holds a Master’s Degree in Heritage Management from Athens University of Economics and Business and the University of Kent, and a Bachelor’s Degree in History and Archaeology from the University of Ioannina.

We The Curious
We The Curious is an educational charity on Bristol Harbourside and South West England’s leading science centre. Our vision is of a future where everyone is included, curious and inspired by science to build a better world, together. Our interactive experience is a safe and welcoming place for people to get creative, ask questions and explore different ideas. We develop inclusive learning programmes with and for local people, from our youth careers programme to school trips for over 60,000 children a year. We partner with universities, schools and community groups to support people to explore their curiosity, make connections, improve their confidence and wellbeing. We believe that science is a shared human activity full of challenging questions, different perspectives and positive action that can transform lives.
