Alex Maisonneuve

Alex Maisonneuve, CFA, currently serves as the Lead Advisor at Wealthsimple since November 2025. Prior to this role, Alex held the position of Head of Sales at Molsoft for a brief period in 2025 and was a Senior Account Executive at Shopify from March 2022 to July 2025, focusing on both large and mid-market accounts in North America. Before joining Shopify, Alex was with BMO Capital Markets from May 2016 to March 2022, progressing through roles in Trading Products, including Associate and Senior Analyst in Equity Derivatives. Early career experience includes being a Founding Member and Portfolio Manager at Telfer Capital Fund and completing an extended internship as a Credit Risk Management Analyst at Export Development Canada in 2015. Alex began the professional journey as a Teacher's Assistant at the University of Ottawa while completing a Bachelor's Degree in Finance at the Telfer School of Management, and foundational education was obtained at College Bourget with a focus on Natural Sciences.
