Pasi Sillanpää

Pasi Sillanpää has extensive work experience in the IT industry. Pasi is currently employed as a Cloud Consultant at WeAre Solutions Oy, where they focus on Cloud, AWS, and Splunk consulting. Their role involves designing scalable architectures, implementing AWS solutions, configuring Splunk deployments, and providing ongoing support.

Prior to their current position, Pasi worked as a Data Security Specialist at Paytrail from October 2017 to February 2023. In this role, they were responsible for ensuring the availability of customer critical systems and also contributed to development projects aimed at improving architecture and developing internal tools.

Before Paytrail, Pasi worked as a System Specialist at Qvantel from July 2016 to October 2017. Their responsibilities included managing the availability, capacity, and scalability of environment platforms, as well as automating installations and upgrades using Ansible.

Pasi also gained experience in the Finnish Defence Forces, where they served as a Senior ICT Specialist from January 2016 to June 2016. Pasi was responsible for ensuring the proper functioning of ICT services, providing training and support to customers, and maintaining devices and software.

Prior to their military service, Pasi worked at Bitcomp Oy as a Service Manager from May 2015 to January 2016. In this role, they coordinated support services, designed and implemented project deployments, and handled customer support requests. Pasi also worked as a System Expert at Bitcomp Oy from August 2013 to May 2015, where their responsibilities included second line service desk operations, customer support, prioritizing requests, testing, reporting, and project management.

Additionally, Pasi has worked at Samcom Oy as a System Specialist from July 2012 to August 2013, handling incident management, support requests, and also serving as a maintenance project manager. Pasi started their career at ManpowerGroup as a Help Desk Specialist from March 2011 to August 2012, providing technical customer support and IT infrastructure support.

Pasi Sillanpää's education history includes obtaining a Master of Science (MSc) degree in Computer Science from Tampere University of Technology from 2006 to 2013. Pasi also earned a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science from Queen's University Belfast from 2007 to 2008.

In June 2022, they achieved the AWS Certified Data Analytics – Specialty certification. Finally, in July 2022, they obtained the AWS Certified SysOps Administrator – Associate certification.
