Ashley Rico has a diverse work experience spanning various industries and roles. Ashley started their career as an Arts & Entertainment Intern at Palo Alto Weekly in 2009, where they conducted interviews, edited content, and wrote articles. From 2009 to 2011, they worked at Yahoo in different roles such as Media Delivery Coordinator and Media Delivery Specialist, handling advertising campaigns and strategic projects.
In 2013, Ashley joined Sony Computer Entertainment America as an Associate Product Marketing Manager, where they collaborated with various stakeholders to develop marketing strategies for exclusive digital gaming experiences on PlayStation. Ashley then transitioned to YuMe in 2014 as a Senior Product Marketing Manager, responsible for positioning and messaging for online and mobile video advertising products.
In 2015, Ashley worked at Nest as an Interactive Producer, managing global product campaigns and coordinating design resources. Ashley then moved to Kettle in 2016, starting as a Digital Producer before progressing to the role of Senior Interactive Producer. Currently, they hold the position of Director of Production at Kettle, a role they took on in March 2020.
Throughout their career, Ashley has showcased their expertise in project management, marketing, and strategic planning.
Ashley Rico attended San Jose City College from 2001 to 2003, where they earned an Associate of Arts degree in General Education. Ashley then went on to study at Menlo College from 2003 to 2007, completing their Bachelor of Arts degree in Mass Communications and Media Studies.

Fellow winners include: twitter, HBO Imagine, Mashable, Hulu, TED,com, Mint.com, NYTimes, Tumblr...On March 14, 2010, Kettle won the SxSW Interactive Web Award in the business category for TheyMakeApps. For the last 13 years, SxSW has honored the top Web developers and designers worldwide.Kettle designed HeyWalkies in partnership with Jackson/Laycock, an iPhone application for dog owners in New York City. Apple featured the app in their TV ad commercial: Dog Lover.
