Tom Sawyer

Tom Sawyer has held a variety of roles in the finance and biotech industries. Tom began their career in 2011 as the CEO of East African Gold. In 2013, they became a Director at Capro Ltd, an advisory firm focusing on early stage companies. In 2014, they became a Non-Executive Director at Weather Unlocked, a company that provides businesses with high quality weather data. Tom also served as a Mentor at Accelerate Cambridge and a Visiting Lecturer at the University of Exeter. In 2015, they became the Director and COO/CFO of Cantabio Pharmaceuticals Inc. and Director of Gardedam Therapeutics Inc. In 2016, they became the Chief Financial Officer at Cognetivity Neurosciences Ltd. In 2017, they became a Guest Lecturer at Cambridge Judge Business School. In 2021, they became an Honorary Lecturer at University College London.

Tom Sawyer obtained a Bachelor's Degree in Zoology/Animal Biology from the University of Glasgow in 1992. Tom then went on to pursue a PhD in Life Sciences from the same university, which they completed in 2000. In 2010, they completed a Master of Business Administration (M.B.A.) from the University of Cambridge in the field of Executive MBA.
