Georgios Sarris Tzamtzis

Georgios Sarris Tzamtzis has a diverse work experience in the field of Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) and DevOps. Georgios started their career as a Senior Linux Systems Administrator at Freezone Internet in 2012. Georgios then joined Betfair as a Linux Engineer, where they worked on the infrastructure and platform team. In 2013, they became a Senior Systems Administrator at Opta, where they managed and maintained the servers, databases, and network infrastructure. Moving forward, Georgios worked as a DevOps Engineer at Product Madness, a leading social and mobile gaming company. Georgios then joined Oracle, where they held the roles of Senior SRE Engineer and SRE Manager. At Callsign, they were a Senior Site Reliability Engineer and later became the Head of SRE. Following that, Georgios worked as a DevOps Lead at Yodeck. In 2021, they became Head of SRE at Qatalog and then transitioned to EveryPay in the same role. Georgios is currently the Head of SRE at WeatherXM since 2023. Throughout their career, Georgios has gained experience in various areas of SRE, including server administration, database management, network configuration, monitoring, and automation.

Georgios Sarris Tzamtzis completed their primary and secondary education at the 3rd High School Zografou from 1999 to 2002. Following that, they pursued higher education at the Technologiko Ekpaideutiko Idrima, Lamias from 2003 to 2007. During this period, they obtained a Bachelor of Science (BSc) degree in Computer Science.
