Yakov Berenshteyn

Yakov Berenshteyn has worked in a variety of roles since 2007. In 2008, they were a Green Initiative Intern at East Bay Regional Park District, where they researched water conservation practices and helped draft water use policy. In 2009, they were a Research Intern at Lux Research. In 2010, they were an Associate at GreenOrder. From 2007-2009, they were a Research Intern at UCLA in the Civil & Environmental Engineering department, where they constructed computational mechanics-based models of the human soleus muscle-tendon complex. In 2012, they were an Engagement Manager at Cleantech Group, where they developed strategies and change management programs for global clients with particular focus on energy, utilities, and industrials. In 2015, they were a Senior Analyst, Distributed Energy Development at National Grid. In 2017, they were a Leaders for Global Operations (LGO) Fellow at Massachusetts Institute of Technology. In 2018, they were an Order Experience, Business Transformation Office at Dell, where they bridged UX and operations by developing regional ship/delivery date calculators. In 2019, they were a Manager, Industrial Channels at Samsara, Inc., where they managed an incredible team in the new Industrial IOT business unit with dual responsibilities as sales manager and program manager. Currently, they are a Director, Automotive & Charging Partnerships, Sr. Manager Strategic Partnerships, and Senior Manager, Strategy & Revenue Ops at WeaveGrid.

Yakov Berenshteyn received their Bachelor of Science in Engineering Sciences: Mechanical/Materials from Harvard University in 2010. Yakov then went on to pursue a Master of Science in Mechanical Engineering from the MIT School of Engineering, which they completed in 2019. In the same year, they also completed their Master of Business Administration from the MIT Sloan School of Management.
