Edgaras Makarovas

Edgaras Makarovas has a diverse range of work experience, starting with their current position as a Senior Java Software Engineer at Weavr.io. Prior to this, they worked at Copper.co as a Senior Full-Stack Software Engineer, where they were responsible for migrating the company's B2C SaaS platform to an enterprise-ready platform. Before that, they worked at DOCOMO Digital as a Senior Java Engineer, contributing to the development of a world-leading FinTech product. Edgaras also held the role of Java Technical Lead at Nunegal Consulting for zara.com, where they worked on a digital transformation project and was responsible for defining business-critical ETL processes. Edgaras began their career as a Software Developer at Orienteed, gaining experience in Java development for major e-commerce platforms. Edgaras also worked as a Freelance Java and Android Developer, where they took responsibility for the full application lifecycle. Additionally, they gained teaching experience as a Trainee Secondary Mathematics Teacher at the University of Southampton.

Edgaras Makarovas completed a Bachelor's Degree in Psychology from the University of Southampton from 2010 to 2013. Edgaras then pursued Subject Knowledge Enhancement in Mathematics from the same university from 2013 to 2014. Following that, they obtained a Post-Graduate Certificate in Education with a specialization in Mathematics from the University of Southampton between 2014 and 2015. Prior to their university education, Edgaras attended Vydunas Gymnasium of Silute for their high school education from 2006 to 2010. Additionally, they hold a certification as an Oracle Certified Associate, Java SE 8 Programmer, which they obtained in March 2016 from Oracle.
