Luca Viola

Luca Viola is a seasoned technology leader with extensive experience in software development and team management. Currently serving as Chief Technology Officer at Web Summit since January 2019, Luca previously held significant roles, including Software Development Manager and Senior Staff Software Engineer at lastminute.com group, where responsibilities ranged from performance management and talent development to overseeing architectural decisions and agile practices. With a foundational career as Founder of 3AM, an IT consultancy, and as Chief Technology Officer at Last Minute Tour, Luca has demonstrated expertise in project management and technical strategy. Luca holds a degree in Computer Science from Università di Pisa, completed in 1995.
