Melissa Shires

Melissa Shires has a diverse work experience spanning various industries and roles. Melissa started their career as an Events and Fundraising Intern at the Conservative Party in 2013. From 2013 to 2014, they worked as a Teaching Assistant at Geneva English School. In 2016, they had an Events Internship at the Dorchester Collection. In 2018, they worked as a Public Relations Intern at The Communication Group plc and also as an interviewer for High Fliers Research Limited. From 2019 to 2020, they worked as a Corporate Communications Graduate Trainee at FleishmanHillard UK, and from 2020 to 2021, they worked there as a Corporate Account Executive. Melissa then joined BCW Global in 2021 as a Corporate and Public Affairs Senior Account Executive until 2022. Currently, in 2023, they hold the position of Manager - Corporate Enterprise at Weber Shandwick.

Melissa Shires holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Politics from the University of Exeter, which they obtained between 2015 and 2018. Following this, they pursued a Master's degree in Communication and International Marketing at the University of Surrey from 2018 to 2019. Prior to their higher education, they completed their International Baccalaureate at the International School of Geneva from 2008 to 2015. Additionally, Melissa obtained a First Aid certification from Health First in December 2014.
