Sumit Verma

Sumit Verma is the current Chair at Webster University. Prior to that, they were the Vice President of Commercial Manufacturing at Iovance Biotherapeutics, Inc. from November 2018 to February 2020. Before that, they were the Chief Operating Officer - NA at Curium Pharma from January 2017 to October 2018.

Previously, they were the Director of Nuclear Operations at Mallinckrodt Pharmaceuticals from October 2015 to January 2017. In this role, they oversaw the manufacturing and distribution of 15 pharmaceutical drug product families produced in 3 factories ranging from oral dosage products, sterile lyophilized and highly complex aseptically produced nuclear diagnostic imaging products. Under their leadership, the team was recognized as a top quartile manufacturing plant within global operations team, celebrating the site’s 50th year anniversary celebrations and achieving 4 Million Hour with no lost time injury milestone.

From April 2015 to September 2015, they were the Leader – Global Operations, Quality and EH&S Transformation at Mallinckrodt Pharmaceuticals. And before that, from May 2012 to April 2015, they were the Focus Factory Manager, Nuclear Imaging at Mallinckrodt Pharmaceuticals.

Sumit Verma has a MEM from Washington University in St. Louis in Engineering Management, a Bachelor of Science from Lafayette College in Chemical Engineering, and an International Baccalaureate Diploma from St. Mary's School. Sumit also has certifications from the Project Management Institute in Project Management Professional and Certified Lean Leader, and from - in Certified Six Sigma Blackbelt.
