Wenliang Zhang

Wenliang Zhang is an experienced bioinformatics and AI consultant, currently serving as the Founder and Consultant at WeDaita since January 2023, where focus is on generative AI, large language models, and data architecture for biotech and pharma clients. Previously, Zhang held the position of Director Data Scientist at Pfizer from May 2023 to June 2025, leading AI/ML initiatives and earning the Bravo Excellence Award for contributions to a multi-agent AI Research Assistant. Additional roles include Director of Data Science at Exo Therapeutics, Principal Research Scientist at AbbVie, and notable positions at PerkinElmer, TESARO, bluebird bio, UMass Medical School, Trudeau Institute, and the University of Georgia. Zhang holds a Master of Science in Computer Science from Boston University Metropolitan College and a PhD in Infectious Diseases from The University of Georgia, along with a Master’s degree in Microbial and Biomedical Science from Shanghai Jiao Tong University.
