Dr. Heather Walker

Dr. Heather Walker has a diverse range of work experience in the pharmacy field. Dr. Heather is currently working as a Functional Health Consultant Pharmacist and Clinical Pharmacist at HomeTown Pharmacy. Prior to this, they served as a Customer Care Pharmacist at Wedgewood Pharmacy. Dr. Walker also has experience as a Pharmacy Manager at Melrose Pharmacy and HomeTown Pharmacy. Earlier in their career, they worked as a Pharmacist Intern/Technician at Zale Drugs, a Pharmacist Intern at Target Pharmacy, and a Pharmacist Intern at Kroger Pharmacy.

Dr. Heather Walker obtained their Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree from Butler University, where they studied pharmacy from 2008 to 2015. Prior to that, they attended Warsaw Community High School from 2004 to 2008.

In addition to their education, Dr. Walker has obtained several certifications. Dr. Heather completed the Medication Therapy Management, National Certificate Training Program from Postgraduate Healthcare Education - PowerPak in June 2022. In April 2022, they earned certifications in Integrative Pharmacy Specialist, Introduction to Functional Medicine, and Introduction to Functional Nutrition from PharmCon freeCE and The Institute for Functional Medicine, respectively. In July 2020, they received the C4 HRT Specialist Certification from PCCA. Dr. Walker is also licensed as a pharmacist in Indiana and Arizona, obtaining their Indiana Pharmacist License in June 2015 and their Arizona Pharmacist License in October 2019. Additionally, they hold a Basic Life Support for Healthcare Providers (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association.
