Product Manager (Hybrid - 1 to 2 days onsite per week)

Overview:

Product Management at Weedmaps is responsible for defining the vision, strategy, and roadmap in order to realize our mission of being the hub for all things cannabis. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to define and execute product roadmaps, leverage data insights to optimize user experiences, and manage A/B test experiments to enhance platform performance. This role requires a strong blend of analytical skills, project management abilities, and a deep understanding of agile methodologies.  Additionally, you should have a proven ability to build relationships and influence across the organization at all levels, as well as superior communication and presentation skills.

The impact you'll make:

  • Product Roadmap Execution:
    • Collaborate with stakeholders to define and prioritize product features and enhancements aligned with business objectives.
    • Develop detailed product requirements, user stories, and acceptance criteria
    • Drive the execution of product roadmaps, ensuring timely delivery of high-quality features and updates
  • A/B Test Experimentation:
    • Design and execute A/B tests to evaluate the impact of product changes on user behavior and key metrics
    • Analyze test results and derive actionable insights to inform product decisions and optimizations
    • Continuously iterate on A/B testing strategies to improve testing methodologies and drive product innovation
  • Data Analysis and Insights:
    • Utilize data analytics tools and techniques to monitor platform performance and user engagement metrics
    • Identify trends, patterns, and opportunities for improvement through comprehensive data analysis
    • Present findings and recommendations to stakeholders, translating data insights into actionable product strategies
  • Scrum Management:
    • Facilitate agile ceremonies including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, sprint reviews, and retrospectives.
    • Ensure cross-functional alignment and collaboration to deliver on sprint commitments and project goals.
    • Track and communicate progress, risks, and dependencies to stakeholders, proactively addressing impediments.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration:
    • Work closely with engineering, design, marketing, and revenue teams to drive product initiatives from ideation to launch
    • Foster a collaborative and inclusive team environment, encouraging open communication and knowledge sharing
    • Serve as a subject matter expert on product capabilities, providing guidance and support to internal teams as needed

What you've accomplished:

  • 2+ years product management experience in a technological industry
  • 1+ years experience in consumer-facing online commerce, point-of-sale, or marketplace
  • Experience with Native Product development
  • Experience managing agile software development with scrum preferred
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience 
  • Strong analytical and quantitative skills; strong bias towards data-based decision making and comfort with pro-forma financial and operational analysis
  • Experience with A/B testing methodologies and experimentation frameworks
  • Excellent customer experience intuition; demonstrated success in creating innovative and user-friendly websites and customer-facing features

  • Nimbleness and comfort with ambiguity; comfort responding quickly to rapidly evolving threats and opportunities

  • Street smarts; willingness to roll up the sleeves and do whatever is necessary to meet team goals

The base pay range for this position is $97,500.00 - $115,500.00 per year
