Ken Pepple has a diverse and extensive work experience in the technology industry. Ken is currently serving as the Vice President of Technical Operations at Weedmaps since 2021. Previously, they worked at Indeed.com as the Director of Site Reliability Engineering from 2020 to 2021. Prior to that, they held the position of Engineering Director of Reliability Software Engineering at Lyft from 2019 to 2020.

From 2017 to 2019, Ken worked at Cruise as the Director of Core Infrastructure. Before that, they were the Chief Technology Officer at Solinea, a software and consulting services company that focuses on helping enterprises adopt cloud infrastructure and DevOps processes, between 2013 and 2016.

In 2012, Ken Pepple worked as a Vice President at Cloud Technology Partners, where they started the OpenStack practice and led sales and staffing efforts for private cloud implementations. Prior to this, they served as the Director of Cloud Development at Internap from 2011 to 2012, where they led the engineering team in developing and operating OpenStack-based public cloud services.

Earlier in their career, Ken worked at Sun Microsystems in various technical leadership positions. Ken served as the Technical Director & Chief Technologist for the Systems Line of Business from 2009 to 2011, leading architecture and technical engagements focused on system products, virtualization, and cloud computing. Ken also served as the Technical Director & Chief Technologist for the Asia Pacific Systems Engineering team from 2006 to 2009, where they set architectural direction and engaged in client engagements on data center planning and virtualization. Additionally, Ken held the role of Technical Director & Chief Technologist for the Desktop Practice team from 2004 to 2006, leading the development of customer solutions around thin-client products and virtual desktop infrastructure. Ken began their career at Sun Microsystems as the Chief Technologist of Sun Professional Services Asia Pacific from 2001 to 2004, managing a team of architects and overseeing complex engagements in the region while championing the adoption of ITIL methodology.

Ken Pepple attended The University of Kansas but it is unknown when they started or finished their education. Ken obtained several additional certifications including AWS Certified Developer - Associate from Amazon Web Services in February 2017, AWS Certified Solutions Architect - Associate from Amazon Web Services in January 2017, TOGAF (v8) from The Open Group in March 2008, and ITIL Foundation (v2) from ITIL / OGC in August 2002.
