Malka Barkhordari

Malka Barkhordari serves as Counsel, Marketing & Ads at Weedmaps since August 2021, contributing to the mission of promoting a transparent and inclusive global cannabis economy. Previously, Malka held the position of Head of Legal at Havaianas North America & Caribbean from 2019 to August 2021, overseeing legal matters for a leading global sandal brand. Early career experience includes roles such as Acting General Counsel and Corporate Counsel at Three W International, Legal Research Assistant at Chapman University, and various internships and clerkships that provided foundational legal experience across different sectors. Malka holds a Doctor of Law (J.D.) in Business Law from Chapman University Fowler School of Law and has undertaken MBA coursework at Boston University's Questrom School of Business, along with a Bachelor's degree in Philosophy from UCLA. Additional qualifications include a yoga teacher training certification.
