Ying C.

Ying (Eric) C. has a strong background in machine learning and data science. Currently, they are the Director of Machine Learning at Weee!, where they lead the machine learning function and is responsible for discovery, AI assistant, demand forecasting, and user growth. Prior to that, they worked as a Senior Manager of Machine Learning at Weee! and as a Software Engineer - Machine Learning at Facebook, where they served as a tech lead in group recommendation and ads/shops growth, leveraging recommendation and personalization to drive growth. Before joining Facebook, they were a Machine Learning Engineer at Uber, focusing on risk/fraud and finance forecasting. Ying (Eric) started their career as a Data Scientist at Experian Datalabs and gained experience as a summer intern in machine learning and cheminformatics at Dow AgroSciences.

Ying (Eric) C. completed a Ph.D. in Computational Science from UC San Diego from 2009 to 2015. Prior to that, Ying attended the University of Science and Technology of China from 2005 to 2009, studying Physics.
