Andrea Marisio

Andrea Marisio has a diverse work experience in various roles and companies. In 2015, they worked on their Bachelor Thesis at Università degli Studi dell'Insubria, focusing on profiling users and implementing a Context-Aware Bandits algorithm for recommender systems. From 2017 to 2018, they worked on their Master Thesis at the same university, delving into Natural Language Processing and Computer Vision, specifically document classification using Convolutional Neural Networks.

In 2018, Andrea joined NTT DATA as an AI Software Development Engineer, working on various projects such as Recommender Systems, Voice Assistants, and Video Anomaly Detection. They gained experience in dealing with customers and finding ways to deliver value. They then transitioned to the role of Deep Learning Researcher at NTT DATA, collaborating with international teams and focusing on creating high-performance anomaly classifiers.

From 2019 to 2021, Andrea worked at BOOM Image Studio as a Software Engineer, specializing in Java Back-End development. They also worked on projects related to Salient Object detection, HDR, and creating a micro-services architecture for executing machine learning models. They achieved advancements in Salient Object detection and significantly reduced image editing time.

In 2020, they took on the role of an Author of a computer vision course at EC-Council, further expanding their expertise in the field. Currently, Andrea is a Data Architect at wefox, where they have built a Data Lake to support AI model development and enable data accessibility for Business Analysts.

Andrea Marisio completed a Master of Science in Computer Science from the Università degli Studi dell'Insubria from 2015 to 2018. Prior to that, from 2012 to 2016, Andrea earned a Bachelor of Applied Science in Computer Science from the same institution. Andrea's earlier education includes completing a degree in Surveyor from I.S.I.S. Daverio from 2005 to 2012. Additionally, Andrea has obtained several certifications in various subjects, including communication, team building, data science, and business, from LinkedIn. These certifications were obtained between 2022 and 2023.
