Ray Burroughs

Ray Burroughs currently serves as Deputy General Counsel and previously held the title of Assistant General Counsel at WEG, a leading industrial electric motor manufacturer. With extensive experience in mergers and acquisitions, tax, and commercial transactions, Ray has worked at several prestigious law firms, including Morris, Manning & Martin, LLP, Shumaker, Loop & Kendrick, LLP, and Clement Rivers, LLP. Ray began professional career in transaction management at Greystar and The Goyak Group, Inc., after which Ray earned a Master of Law (LLM) in Tax Law from New York University School of Law, a Doctor of Law (J.D.) from the University of South Carolina, and multiple degrees from the College of Charleston, including a Master of Science in Accounting and dual Bachelor degrees in International Business and History.
