Ellyn Schmelz

Ellyn Schmelz, CPA, CNAP, currently serves as a Supervisor at Wegner CPAs, specializing as an outsourced accountant for not-for-profit organizations since March 2019. Prior experience includes roles as a Tax and Compliance Specialist at CSM Companies, Inc., Senior Accountant at SVA | A Professional Services Company, and Staff Accountant at Smith Schafer CPAs. Ellyn began the accounting career as an Accounting Trainee at TRW and has also worked as a Resale Intern at Dynamic Recycling, where responsibilities included analyzing revenue and expenses and contributing to process improvements. Earlier positions include Assistant Manager at Marcus Theatres and various front desk roles at Stoney Creek Inn and The Cove of Lake Geneva. Ellyn holds a Bachelor of Science in Accounting and Business Management from the University of Wisconsin-La Crosse, complemented by a summer study abroad program in behavioral economics at Anglo American University.
