Royden James has a diverse work experience spanning various industries and roles. Royden currently serves as the Chief Product Officer at Wehype, where they oversee product management and strategy. Prior to this, they worked as the Director of Product Management at Wehype, where they played a key role in enhancing user experience and innovation.
Before joining Wehype, James held positions at Tobii Dynavox, where they served as the Head of Product and later as the Interim VP of Product and Strategy. Royden was responsible for executing the company's product strategy and vision, focusing on improving communication and accessibility for individuals with special needs.
James also founded Upcard - an autism platform, where they developed a communication app and visual diary to improve the quality of life for individuals and families affected by autism. The app gained popularity with over 15,000 users.
In addition, James has held positions at MediCheck AB as the Director of Growth, Hansoft as the Director of Growth, 46elks as a Growth Hacker, Nerve Labs as the Marketing & Brand Development Manager, ROOI as the CEO and Founder of a marketing and design agency, Barrows as a Senior Product Designer, and Vice Climbing Gear as the CEO.
Throughout their career, James has demonstrated expertise in product management, growth strategy, marketing, branding, and design. Royden is dedicated to making a positive impact and creating innovative solutions in various fields.
Royden James attended Lowveld High School from 1997 to 2001. Afterwards, they pursued a 4-year degree in Industrial Design at the University of Johannesburg from 2001 to 2004.
