Doug James has extensive work experience in the architecture and engineering field. Doug worked at WeidnerCA as the Vice President of Operations starting in March 2021, after serving as the Director of Operations from June 2020 to March 2021. Prior to these roles, Doug was the Design Engineering Manager at WeidnerCA from August 2017 to June 2020. Before joining WeidnerCA, they worked as a Project Architect at JK Architecture Engineering from January 2016 to July 2017. From February 2014 to January 2016, Doug held the position of Design Engineering Manager at WeidnerCA. Doug initially began their career at NTD Architecture, where they worked as an Associate, Project Architect from 1999 to 2010.

Doug James attended California State Polytechnic University-Pomona from 1994 to 1999, where they earned a Bachelor of Architecture (B.Arch.) degree, graduating Cum Laude. Doug majored in Architecture during their time at the university.
