Ken Rau has extensive work experience in engineering and leadership roles in the automotive industry. Ken recently joined Weil-McLain as the Director of Engineering. Previously, Ken served as the Vice President of Engineering at Cascade Engineering, where they were responsible for integrating two sub-companies and implementing a new PLM system. Before that, they worked as the Director of Engineering at Yanfeng Automotive Interiors. Ken also held various positions at Johnson Controls, Inc. Automotive Experience, including Engineering Director, Chief Engineer, and Engineering Manager. Ken played a key role in the lean engineering process, engineering separations, and continuous improvement initiatives. Ken began their career as a Product Design Engineer at Johnson Controls, Inc. Automotive Experience (formerly Prince Corporation), where they successfully launched multiple automotive interiors projects for various companies and suppliers.
Ken Rau completed their Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Michigan in the years 1985 to 1989. Later, they pursued a Master's degree in Engineering Management from Western Michigan University, which they completed between 1995 and 1999.
