Steve Chandler

City Partner, Houston at Weitzman Management

Steve Chandler is City Partner and Senior Vice President for the Houston office of Weitzman. He oversees project development as well as the day-to-day operations of property management, asset management and new business development for Weitzman's Houston office, which is currently responsible for a portfolio totaling approximately 4 million square feet of retail space. Additionally, he directs the brokerage team for Weitzman. Chandler joined the company in 2002, bringing with him 20 years of successful real estate experience. Prior to that, Chandler was a Principal of Chandler/Hooper Realty, with the responsibility of overseeing all phases of development, management and leasing for grocery-anchored retail projects with major tenants such as Kroger, Winn-Dixie and Walmart. Under Chandler’s direction, Weitzman's The Crossing at 288 in Pearland was honored with The Houston Landmark Award, recognizing it as the Best Retail Development in the greater Houston area. The Crossing at 288’s major tenants include JCPenney, Old Navy, Bed Bath & Beyond, Best Buy and many others. Additionally, Chandler’s leadership has brought Weitzman Houston the successful completion of outstanding projects such as Colony Park in Bryan, Deer Park Station in Deer Park, Eagle Ranch in Katy, Tuscan Lakes in League City and The Market at 1488 in Magnolia. The success of such Kroger Signature-anchored centers as Autumn Creek Village in Friendswood and Cullen Crossing in Pearland can also be attributed to the Houston team.
