Shivathanu Gopirajan Chitra

Shivathanu Gopirajan Chitra has a diverse range of work experience in the field of software development and engineering.

Shivathanu started their career as a Programmer Analyst Trainee at Cognizant in 2014, where they worked with SQL Server, NodeJS streams, and C# (ASP .NET) coding. Shivathanu then progressed to the role of Programmer Analyst, where they administered Hadoop Clusters and worked as a data warehouse developer using Apache Hive. Shivathanu also built ETL workflows using Informatica BDE. Shivathanu worked at Cognizant from 2014 to 2017.

After that, they joined Ideas2IT Technologies as a Software Engineer, where they developed scalable cloud applications using AWS services and built APIs using the Express Framework in NodeJS. Shivathanu leveraged CI/CD pipelines to deploy applications on AWS. Shivathanu later became a Senior Software Engineer, working at Ideas2IT from 2017 to 2019.

Shivathanu then joined MUDEY as a Backend Developer, where they built a NodeJS Microservice architecture for an Insurance digital platform. Shivathanu developed a scalable backend infrastructure and organized reusable components within the system using npm packages. Later, they were promoted to the role of Technical Lead, where they mentored team members and built a message queuing pipeline for asynchronous handling of long-running tasks. Shivathanu also managed and handled the effective distribution of data between microservices. Shivathanu worked at MUDEY from 2020 to 2022.

Currently, Shivathanu is working as a Software Development Engineer II at WeKan Enterprise Solutions. Their responsibilities include building event-driven microservices using Kafka and implementing MongoDB aggregation queries with usage of operators. Shivathanu has experience working on a large-scale onsite project developed for the France railways network.

Shivathanu Gopirajan Chitra completed their Bachelor's degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from Velammal Institute Of Technology from 2010 to 2014. Shivathanu then pursued a Master's degree in Software Engineering from Faculdade de Engenharia da Universidade do Porto, which they completed between 2019 and 2021.

In addition to their formal education, Shivathanu Gopirajan Chitra has obtained several certifications. In September 2015, they obtained the ITIL Foundation Certificate in IT Service Management from AXELOS Global Best Practice. Furthermore, they obtained the AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner certification from Amazon Web Services (AWS) in June 2023. Shivathanu also acquired MongoDB Aggregation with Node.js certification and MongoDB Node.js Developer Path certification from MongoDB in January 2023.
