Tiens Hendricks has a diverse work experience, starting in 2006 with Singeni Electrical Construction as an Electrician and Linesman. From 2010 to 2013, they worked at UGL Limited as a Linesman, primarily working on the 400kv power line and distribution power lines. Tiens then joined BBUGL Australia as a Line Worker from 2010 to 2013. In 2013, they worked at McKay Electrical as an Electrician/Lineworker. From 2014 to 2017, Tiens worked at Traffic Systems as a Lead Electrician and Technician, responsible for maintaining and servicing traffic lights for Hamilton City Council, as well as leading multiple projects. Tiens then became a Contract Manager at Traffic Systems Limited from 2017 to 2018. Most recently, Tiens worked at Connect8 as a Project Manager from 2018 to 2020. Tiens is currently working at WEL Networks as a Project Manager since April 2020.
Tiens Hendricks attended Belville High Technical School from 2000 to 2005, where they obtained a National Senior Certificate in Electrician. In 2014, they briefly attended Wintec - Waikato Institute of Technology for Electrician but did not complete a degree.
