Chad Stegeman

Chad Stegeman has extensive experience in analytics and data visualization. Chad is currently working as the Director of Analytics Translation at WelbeHealth since 2022. Before this, they worked at Bright Health as a Manager of Analytic Enablement from 2021 to 2022. In this role, they designed and implemented a platform for delivering visual analytics and reporting applications, managing a team of developers and engineers.

From 2015 to 2021, Chad worked at Optum, first as a Senior Manager of Analytic Reporting and Visualization, where they oversaw the development of self-service tools and visualizations. Chad managed a team of developers and ran monthly algorithms for identifying payment integrity opportunities. Chad also worked as an Application Development Consultant, creating self-service solutions and user-friendly SAS web applications.

Prior to that, Chad worked at Medica as a Lead Healthcare Analyst from 2012 to 2015. Here, they created risk adjustment models and developed healthcare data dashboards. Chad also managed an in-house SAS user group and conducted various analyses using statistical techniques.

Chad began their career at Emory University as a Graduate Research Associate for the Rwanda Zambia HIV Research Group. Chad developed SAS programs for clinical research and performed epidemiological modeling. Chad also authored a manuscript investigating HIV transmission factors. Chad then worked as a Global Field Graduate Associate for the Rwanda Zambia HIV Research Group, conducting surveys and leading seminars to improve HIV testing practices.

Chad's earliest work experience was as a Research Associate at R&D Systems, where they conducted experiments and analyzed quality control testing. Chad also worked as a Program Coordinator at YMCA Camp Ihduhapi, managing staff and program activities.

Chad Stegeman pursued their education with a strong focus on public health and scientific studies. From 2010 to 2012, they attended Emory University, where they obtained their Master's of Public Health degree in the field of Epidemiology. Prior to that, from 2003 to 2007, Chad studied at St. Olaf College, where they earned their BA degree with a major in Chemistry. Chad's educational background showcases their dedication and expertise in the fields of public health and chemistry.
