Xiao Liang's work experience begins with their role as an Outreach Specialist Assistant at WelbeHealth, starting in January 2022. Prior to this, Xiao Liang worked as a Social Worker at Spring Adult Day Health Care from June 2021 to August 2021.

In 2017, Xiao Liang served as an Office Manager at Dalian Concord Combine Traditional Chinese and Western Medical Hospital. In this role, they maintained the hospital's network and computer system, organized and supervised events, and developed marketing strategies through social media sites.

From February 2016 to March 2017, Xiao Liang worked as a Television News Producer at Hollywood Chinese TV. They managed a team and served as the co-leader of the Editing Department. During their tenure, they created a video and audio library for the TV station.

Prior to that, from January 2012 to July 2015, Xiao Liang worked as a Journalist and editor at Shenyang Radio & Television. Their responsibilities included shooting interviews, collecting news materials, performing as an interpreter, and editing and modifying cuts for final products.

Xiao Liang's earliest work experience was as an Assistant Video Editor at NHK, Japan Broadcasting Corporation in July 2008. They conducted off-line rough cuts for Beijing Olympic news and assisted senior video editors in finishing the final draft.

Xiao Liang earned a Master's degree in Aging Service Management from the USC Leonard Davis School of Gerontology from 2020 to 2021. Prior to that, Xiao Liang completed a Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree at California State University, Northridge from 2012 to 2015. Before attending California State University, Xiao Liang obtained a Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree from Tokyo University of Technology from 2010 to 2011. Additionally, Xiao Liang obtained a College Diploma of Culture and General Education with a concentration in Broadcasting & Film from Nippon Engineering College from 2008 to 2010. In terms of certifications, Xiao Liang obtained a Certificate of Japanese Language Proficiency Level 1 from The Japan Foundation in January 2019.
