Benefits Specialist III at Welbilt

Kim Brown SHRM-CP PHR has a comprehensive background in benefits and wellness administration, compensation and benefits analysis, and HR administration.

In their most recent role as a Benefits Specialist III at Welbilt Inc. since April 2019, Kim is responsible for managing benefits programs and resolving benefits issues.

Prior to that, Kim worked as a Benefits Specialist at Welbilt Inc. from October 2017.

Kim provided support to managers on compensation practices, monitored and enhanced the compensation system, and prepared data analysis for strategic decision-making. Kim also served as the Wellness & Benefits Lead for Global Forwarding at C.H. Robinson from November 2012 to December 2013, where they implemented wellness initiatives and participated in HR integration efforts.

Prior to their time at C.H. Robinson, Kim worked at Phoenix International as an HR Administrator/Wellness & Benefits Lead from April 2007 to November 2012. Kim oversaw all aspects of benefits management, managed annual open enrollments, and performed benefits audits.

At Benefit Express, Kim held the position of Customer Service Supervisor/Project Coordinator from March 2006 to March 2007. Kim supervised the call center, managed FSA annual enrollment projects, and addressed customer escalations.

Before that, Kim worked as an HR Specialist at Cardinal Health from February 2002 to March 2006. Kim managed benefit programs, implemented time and attendance systems, and administered payroll and leaves of absences.

Kim's earliest work experience was at the Center of Excellence, where they served as an Office Manager from April 1998 to December 2000.

Kim Brown SHRM-CP PHR completed their education at Elmhurst University where they obtained a Bachelor of Science (BS) in Elementary Education and Teaching from 1993 to 1997. Prior to that, they attended Addison Trail High School and received their diploma with a focus on College Prep from 1987 to 1991. In addition to their formal education, Kim has obtained several certifications. Kim became a Certified Wellness Coach through the National Exercise and Sports Trainers Association in September 2013. Furthermore, they obtained the Professional in Human Resources (PHR®) certification from the HR Certification Institute in May 2005. Lastly, they achieved the SHRM-CP certification from SHRM in December 2015.
