Production Lead Hand at Welbilt

Paul Gnanapragasam has over 30 years of work experience in various production and manufacturing roles. Paul started their career in Sri Lanka at Quick Freeze Ltd as an Associate Coordinator and DTP Operator. Paul then worked at Tabel Hill Farms Inc as a Lead Hand and Production Operator. After that, they joined Precision Engineering - Metal Forming Technologies as a Machine Operator, Small Press Operator, and Quality Inspector. Paul gained experience in operating computerized machines, conducting quality inspections, and training new employees. Paul then worked at Martinrea International as a Robotic Operator, Machine Operator, and Quality Inspector, where they assembled and welded automotive metal parts, performed quality inspections, and trained new assembly operators. Paul later joined Automodular Corporation as a Production Associate, where they assembled various automotive components and followed standardized work procedures. Currently, Paul is employed at Welbilt Inc. as a Production Lead Hand, overseeing production operations, training employees, and providing updates to upper management.

Paul Gnanapragasam's education history begins in 1983 when they graduated high school from Union College Sri Lanka with a focus on Accountancy, Economics, Commerce, and Finance. In 1990, they attended St. Joseph College and received a certificate in Spreadsheet, Word Processing, Computer Programming, and Applications. During the same year, Paul also enrolled in the University of Warwick and achieved a Distinction in English for Communication Examination Level 1.

In 2006, they attended Northtown Technical and completed a CNC Programmer/Setup/Quality Assurance Custom Diploma Program, with a specialization in Quality Assurance, Blueprint Reading, Autocat-2d +3d, Solidworks, CMM, and Programming (Milling and Lathe). Additionally, Paul obtained a Certificate from IDM Computer Studies Sri Lanka, where they studied Programming Techniques, Introduction to IBM AS/400, OS/400 Operating System, and Cobol Programming.
