Susan Ernst

Susan Ernst, PhD, currently serves as the Assistant Principal at Weld RE-4 School District since August 2020, previously held the position of Teacher on Special Assignment in the Department of Instruction. Prior experience includes a role as a Graduate Teaching Assistant at Colorado State University from August 2016 to August 2020, where Susan taught undergraduate courses in content literacy and foundations of schooling, along with mentoring rural student teachers. Susan's teaching career spans over a decade, with positions in various school districts, including Summit School District, where leadership was demonstrated on the district writing committee, and in Aurora Public Schools, focusing on trauma-informed instruction. Susan holds a PhD in Education Sciences and Human Resource Studies with a specialization in School Leadership from Colorado State University and has earned a Master's degree in Curriculum and Instruction from the University of Colorado Boulder, along with a Bachelor's degree in Education from the University of Northern Colorado.
