Kristian Barrett

Kristian Barrett is the current Head of Engineering at Weld. Prior to this, they were the Engineering Lead at Pleo from October 2019 to May 2021. There, they managed a team that built world class integrations to external systems. Kristian is also a full stack developer that focuses on backend development in Kotlin and Node.JS.

From January 2012 to August 2019, Kristian was a Senior Software Developer at First Agenda. There, they developed web applications and services using C#, jQuery, HTML, Razor, and various frameworks. Kristian also helped move their old codebase to a more modern architecture by moving to a REST API for a SPA client (and iPad client). In addition, they moved the old backend from legacy to a CQRS and DDD oriented platform with extensive unit tests to support continuous deployment. Lastly, they developed an in-house project management system using C#, Signal R, AngularJS, and LESS.

Kristian has also been an Ekstern Konsulent at Stibo Systems from May 2011 to December 2011 and a Konsulent at IT Minds from October 2010 to December 2011.

Their manager is Jonas Skytte Thordal, CEO & co-Founder.
