Katie Evans

Katie Evans has a diverse work experience primarily in the field of education and instructional design. Katie began their career as a Senior Editor at Gimpsy.com in 2002, before moving on to positions such as English Faculty at Pellissippi State Technical Community College and Instructor of English at Walters State Community College. Katie joined Lake-Sumter Community College in 2010, where they served as a Distance Learning/Student Services Liaison and Adjunct English Instructor, and later took on the role of Manager of Instructional Design and Quality Assurance. In 2014, Katie worked as a Lead Instructional Designer at Pearson. Katie then transitioned to working as an Instructional Designer at WeLearn Learning Services and served as the Chief Creative Officer; and at Escape the Classroom, where they led instructional design efforts and served as the Chief Executive Officer. Throughout their career, Katie has focused on creating engaging learning experiences, designing online and hybrid courses, and training faculty and staff on educational technology.

Katie Evans has a diverse education history. Katie obtained their Master of Science degree in Instructional Design from Saint Leo University between the years 2012 and 2013. Before that, between 2007 and 2008, they completed their MFA in Creative Writing from National University. In 2006 and 2007, they pursued a Master's degree in English from the same institution. Katie's educational journey began at Wildwood High School, where they earned their High School Diploma from 1994 to 1998.

In addition to their formal education, Katie also obtained certifications. In March 2014, they received the Master Reviewer Certification from QM Quality Matters, and in October 2012, they obtained the Peer Reviewer Certification from Quality Matters.
