Carrie Horn has a diverse work experience spanning various roles in the publishing and content management industries. Carrie began their career as a Copy Editor/Page Designer at Press Citizen/Shopper in 1999, later moving on to become a Managing Editor at the same company. In 2001, they joined The Tribune as a Copy Editor/Page Designer and worked there until 2004. Carrie then worked as a Page Designer at The Gazette Company from 2004 to 2006. Carrie then joined John Wiley and Sons as a Senior Production Editor from 2006 to 2013. Carrie then transitioned to Dotdash Meredith, where they served as an Editor of Parenting.com, managing all editorial duties for the website. Carrie also held the position of Digital Lead Editor, E-Commerce at Dotdash Meredith. In 2017, Carrie established their own freelance editorial services company called Adverbium Editorial Services, where they served as the CEO and Chief Editorial Officer. Additionally, since 2017, they have been working at American Enterprise Group, Inc., first as a Digital Content Editor and currently as a Content Manager.

Carrie Horn pursued their higher education at the Iowa State University - College of Liberal Arts and Sciences from 1996 to 2000. During this time, they earned a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree in Journalism.
