Chief Medical Officer, Quality And Market Launch at WellBe Senior Medical

Dr. Raman Palabindala has an extensive and diverse work experience in the medical field. Raman currently serves as the Chief Medical Officer of Quality and Market Launch at WellBe Senior Medical, where they are responsible for strategizing the market launch and ensuring standardization and competency in the WellBe clinical model. Raman also serves as a preceptor and resource for new providers, training them in the "WellBe" approach and collaborating with the interdisciplinary team in managing patient health and well-being.

Prior to their current role, Dr. Palabindala held various positions at the American College of Physicians, including Co-Chair of the Annual Conference Committee and Co-Chair of the Hospital Medicine Pre-course. Raman was responsible for organizing and overseeing conferences and sessions focused on primary care and hospital medicine updates.

Dr. Palabindala worked as an Internal Medicine Hospitalist at Sound Physicians, providing comprehensive inpatient care and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to ensure coordinated patient treatment.

Raman also has significant involvement with the Society of Hospital Medicine, where they served as an Executive Council Member, Co-Chair of the National Physician Advisors Executive Council, and a Senior Fellow and Committee Member. Raman was actively involved in various initiatives, including being a member of the Editorial Board.

Dr. Palabindala worked with the FDA as part of the Executive Committee, focusing on coordinating efforts to study the use of existing drugs for the treatment of COVID-19 patients.

Raman'sexperience also includes roles as a Regional Medical Director and Network Medical Director at Optum, and as a Medical Director and Division Chief at the University of Mississippi Medical Center.

Earlier in their career, Dr. Palabindala worked at Southeast Alabama Medical Center, where they held positions as Director of SAMC Home health care, Lead Preceptor & Clerkship Director, and Hospitalist. Raman was involved in managing the care team, curriculum design, and standardizing processes.

Dr. Palabindala started their career as an Internal Medicine Resident and Chief Resident at Greater Baltimore Medical Center.

Raman Palabindala, MD, MBA has a diverse education history. Raman obtained a Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) degree from Kamineni Institute of Medical Sciences in 2007. Following this, they pursued a Master's degree in Sports Medicine from Eastern Michigan University in 2008. In 2009, they began their Internal Medicine Residency Program at Greater Baltimore Medical Center, completing it in 2012 and earning their Doctor of Medicine (MD) degree. Recently, in 2019, they attended Duke University - The Fuqua School of Business where they attained a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree with a focus on Health Sector Management. Additionally, they earned a Certificate of Health Sector Management from the same institution in 2020. Raman Palabindala has also obtained several certifications including SFHM (Senior Fellow of Hospital Medicine) from the Society of Hospital Medicine in 2017 and FACP (Fellow of American College of Physicians) from the American College of Physicians in 2015.
