Paul Bevan

Paul Bevan has over three decades of experience in software services and biomedical research, currently serving as the Head of Core Software Services at the Wellcome Trust Sanger Institute since November 2000. In this role, Paul Bevan oversees the strategic maintenance and growth of the institute's core web presence, supporting over 50 public domains and 100 internal domains, handling an impressive volume of web traffic. Prior to this, Paul Bevan held positions as Head of the Web Team and Senior Web Developer at the Sanger Institute, and worked extensively on insulin receptor signaling and polycystin research during postdoctoral fellowships at the University of Cambridge and McGill University. Paul Bevan began their academic journey with a PhD in Medical Biochemistry from the University of London and a BSc in Applied Biochemistry from Liverpool John Moores University.
