Ashley Sumner

Ashley Sumner is an experienced Executive Assistant with a background in supporting high-level executives in the healthcare and research sectors. Currently serving as an Executive Assistant at Wellcome Trust since July 2022, Ashley assists the Director of Climate & Health. Previously, Ashley worked at South London and Maudsley NHS Foundation Trust from March 2020 to July 2022, supporting both the Director of Corporate Affairs and the Director of Communications, Stakeholder Engagement, and Public Affairs. Earlier roles include Team Assistant at Nightingale Hospital and Personal Assistant at The Francis Crick Institute, providing support to senior scientific leaders. Ashley holds a BSc (Hons) in Cognitive Science from the University of Westminster and a Level 3 Certificate in Counselling Skills from City Lit.
