Beth Thompson

Beth leads Wellcome's policy work and is a passionate advocate for better public policy for research and its use in action. She joined Wellcome’s Policy team in 2009.

In her previous role as Head of Policy & Advocacy, UK & EU she led Wellcome’s work on research culture and Brexit.

Prior to joining Wellcome Beth worked as a policy trainee at the Royal Society of Chemistry.

Beth has a BA/MSci in Natural Sciences (Biochemistry) from the University of Cambridge and a PhD from the MRC Laboratory of Molecular Biology.
