Job Purpose
This role is responsible for supporting the month-end close process, AP/AR and other accounting functions. In this hands-on position you will have the opportunity to work in many areas within the accounting function with expanding responsibilities.
We are looking for someone with a strong accounting background to bring value to the team and put their imprint on the improvement of processes. This is a full-time, exempt position reporting to the Director of Financial Planning & Analysis.
Responsibilities
Lead the accounting team and related departments in the monthly close process.
Oversee and perform general accounting duties for the organization including AP/AR/Expense/Payroll Management.
Prepare and review account reconciliations and adjust entries to ensure that accounts are consistent, accurate, and complete.
Responsible for revenue recognition and contract review from an accounting perspective.
Own accounting systems and become power user.
Prepare schedules and manage the transactional portion of the annual audit.
Maintains knowledge of acceptable accounting practices and procedures.
Perform additional assignments as assigned.
Document and ensure accounting controls are operating effectively.
Prepare weekly cash forecasts.
Oversee and ensure the completeness and accuracy of customer payments and expenses.
Review and approve AP.
Prepare monthly closing package, bank compliance documents and other reporting as assigned.
Collaborate with executive team to ensure the complete and accurate financial reporting.
Manage federal, state, and local tax withholdings accounts and relevant state unemployment insurance accounts.
Required Skills & Experience
5+ years of of experience in general accounting, with at least 2 years of experience independently managing the accounting function within an organization
Demonstrated knowledge of accounts payable vouching/payment process.
Demonstrated knowledge of accounting concepts (debit/credits).
Knowledge of NetSuite preferred, with implementation experience a plus.
Two (2) to (3) three years of payroll processing experience is a plus.
Knowledge of US GAAP.
Highly motivated self-starter with a desire to actively engage with the business.
High degree of accuracy, attention to detail, and confidentiality.
Logical problem-solving and demonstrated ability to organize and move project tasks forward in an orderly and structured fashion.
Demonstrated aptitude in designing and maintaining electronic spreadsheets.
Effectively communicate issues/problems and results that impact timelines, accuracy, and reliability of financial/billing data.
Proficiency in MS Office suite, specifically MS Excel.
Excellent communication skills, both written and oral.
Strong time management and customer service skills.
Ability to work independently, take initiative, set priorities, and see tasks through to completion.
Persistent, questioning attitude and ability to accept that in others.
Motivated to expand skills and knowledge, as well as tackle new problems and take on new responsibilities.
Strong desire to grow as a professional in the accounting field.
Ability to work in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
Ability to work collaboratively across functional teams.
WellDoc operates in ISO 13485 and MDSAP regulated and HITRUST compliant environments. Therefore, it is expected that all employees will have either prior experience working in those environments or, will be trained to understand the requirements needed to work and support those requirements and culture as they relate to individual roles and responsibilities.

Compensation & Benefits
Welldoc offers a competitive compensation package which, in addition to salary, includes generous PTO, medical insurance, dental insurance, vision care, life and disability insurance, retirement benefits and the opportunity to participate in health savings accounts and/or dependent care accounts.
The anticipated salary range for this position is between $110,000-150,000/year with most applicants falling somewhere around the mid-point.
Upon receipt of a conditional offer of employment, you may be required to complete and clear a multi-panel drug screening process. This screening is in connection with requirements set by certain of the Company’s customers, with which you may be working in this role, and will at all times be administered all applicable laws.
