Lucie Lebeau

Lucie Lebeau is currently serving as an Assistant Professor of Economics at Wellesley College since July 2025. Prior to this role, Lucie held positions at the Federal Reserve Bank of Dallas from July 2021 to July 2025, advancing from Research Economist to Senior Research Economist. Lucie's academic experience includes a significant tenure at UC Irvine, where Lucie was both a Graduate Teaching Assistant and Instructor of Record for an upper-division macroeconomics course, managing over 100 students and three teaching assistants from September 2015 to May 2021. Lucie's education includes a PhD in Economics from UC Irvine (2015-2021), a Master's degree in Economics and Public Policy from Sciences Po (2013-2015), and an undergraduate B.A. in Economics, Political Science, Sociology, and History from Sciences Po (2010-2013), complemented by an exchange year at the University of California, Santa Cruz. Additionally, Lucie gained early teaching experience as a teaching assistant in introductory microeconomics at Université Paris V Descartes in 2014-2015.
