Olga Shurchkov is a seasoned academic in the field of economics, currently serving as a Professor of Economics and Director of the Knapp Social Science Center at Wellesley College since June 2008. Previous roles at Wellesley include Associate Professor and Assistant Professor of Economics. Additionally, Olga has held the position of Associate Editor for the Journal of Economic Behavior & Organization from June 2020 to August 2024 and served as a Research Fellow at the Women and Public Policy Program at Harvard Kennedy School from September 2011 to June 2013. Olga's academic journey includes a Visiting Assistant Professorship at Columbia Business School and a Teaching Fellowship at Harvard University. Early career experience includes positions as a Research Associate at NERA and a Summer Financial Analyst at Goldman Sachs. Olga earned a PhD in Experimental Economics and Macroeconomics from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, following a B.A. in Economics and Art History from Wellesley College.
