Samantha Lewis is an Assistant Professor of Physics at Wellesley College, a position held since July 2023. Previously, Samantha served as a Postdoctoral Research Associate at Fermilab from February 2021 to May 2023, focusing on superconducting qubits for quantum sensing within the Accelerator Division and Emerging Technologies Directorate. Prior to that, Samantha was a Visiting Scientist at SLAC National Accelerator Laboratory, conducting research for a PhD thesis titled "A THz-Driven Electron Gun." As a Graduate Student Researcher and Instructor at UC Berkeley, Samantha worked in Nuclear Engineering and contributed to the HAYSTAC axion search experiment. Samantha's early experience includes undergraduate research at the MIT Plasma Science and Fusion Center and an internship at EDF R&D, where simulations of vibrations in nuclear fuel rod bundles were conducted. Education includes a Ph.D. in Nuclear Engineering from UC Berkeley and a Bachelor's Degree in Nuclear Science and Engineering from MIT.
